Victory House
Rear extension and interior reworking focused on first-floor garden access, clearer arrival and improved spatial sequence through the house. The project is less about raw floor area and more about making the house work properly.
This scheme demonstrates the practice's interest in sequence, light and how people move through a building, not just in the visual expression of an extension.
The architectural move is as much internal as external, using a double-height entrance space and reworked rear connection to give the house a more coherent daily life.
The brief
To reorganise the house around a clearer entrance sequence and a stronger relationship to the garden, particularly at upper level.
The response
REA developed a rear addition and internal reworking that give the house more order, more depth and a more memorable movement through the building.
Outcome
A domestic project where the value comes from spatial intelligence and lived quality, not simply from adding more accommodation.
